Redevelopment of St Paul’s Bankstown site
Located within the NSW Government’s Bankstown Transport Oriented Development (TOD) zone, redevelopment of the site will deliver a mix of:
- social and affordable housing,
- commercial and retail space,
- a preschool, and
- contemporary, fit-for-purpose ministry facilities that will be available for community use outside of service times.
100% of the housing yield on the site will be dedicated to social and affordable housing (184 units in total) aimed at essential workers, seniors and women over 55. One family-sized apartment will also be provided for the church’s Senior Minister and his family.
The existing church buildings on site are run-down and no longer fit for purpose. Redevelopment of the site will not only deliver significant community benefits, but also ensure the viability of the St Paul’s congregation for generations to come.
The project has been partly funded under the Federal Government’s Housing Australian Future Fund.
