Sydney Anglican Property is overseen by an experienced Board consisting of 14 members, chaired by Mr Peter Hicks. Members bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the many challenging issues we face with backgrounds including ministry, project management, finance and much more.
Peter Hicks – Chair
Peter is an independent company director who previously held senior leadership positions including CEO of Moorebank Intermodal Company and CFO of Leighton Contractors. He has deep commercial, building and finance experience and more than 15 years experience as a Board member on several not-for-profit and commercial boards.
Peter is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds tertiary qualifications in economics, planning and management. He is a current Board member of Anglicare Sydney.
Peter attends St Matthew’s, Manly, where he is also a member of Parish Council and Synod Representative.
Melinda West – Deputy Chair
Melinda is a Senior Manager at Pascoe & Co Chartered Accountants. Her principal areas of expertise are in accounting, audit, superannuation and taxation, with considerable experience gained from auditing many not-for-profit organisations. These include a number of Anglican parishes and diocesan organisations that support the Synod under specific ordinances.
Melinda has been a member of Standing Committee since 2019 and attends the Anglican Parish of Ingleburn with Glenquarie.
Philip Bell OAM
Philip is a retired professional director and is currently Chair of the Board of Anglican Schools Corporations as well as Council Chair for Penrith Anglican College and Marsden Park Anglican College.
Philip attends St Swithun’s, Pymble.

Wayne Bramley
Now retired, Wayne has 47 years’ experience in the insurance industry, the last 10 as an independent consultant providing strategic services to major corporates, not-for-profits, and government entities. Wayne spent the preceding 33 years at Marsh Pty Ltd with various roles leading practices providing insurance broking services to ASX 100 companies in the property, finance, media, telecommunications and manufacturing sectors. Roles included oversight responsibility for various not-for-profit organisations including the Anglican Diocese of Sydney.
Wayne has been a Director of Inscon Pty Ltd since 2013 and attends Christ Church Cathedral, Newcastle.

Ewen Crouch AM
Ewen is a professional director, who is currently Chair of Corporate Travel Management and AnteoTech Ltd. He is also a director at BlueScope Steel and Jawun.
Ewen was a Partner at Allens from 1988 to 2013 and served as a member of the firm’s Board for 11 years, including four years as Chairman of Partners. He is now a consultant to Allens, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and attends St Thomas’, North Sydney where he is also a Warden.
Sally Manion
Sally is an experienced non-executive director with prior directorships in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors, from start-ups through to major restructures and acquisitions, and in industry segments ranging from financial services through to education, mental health, and youth mentoring.
Sally has deep and extensive business leadership experience from her career as a wealth management and superannuation executive, including leading and building small boutique firms into large sustainable businesses in a complex regulatory environment.
Sally is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, currently serves as Director of Bible Society Australia and Undeceptions Ltd and on The Salvation Army’s Investment Advisory Group, and attends St Matthew’s, Manly.
Rev David Ould
David is the Senior Associate Minister at St John’s Cathedral, Parramatta. He has a BSc in Accounting and Financial Analysis and has worked as a qualified Chartered Accountant in a variety of roles specialising in not-for-profit and superannuation.
David is a previous Deputy Chair of Anglican Super and is a current Council member of Thomas Hassell Anglican College.
Maureen Peatman
Maureen has over 30 years experience practising in the Land & Environment Court of NSW, and was a partner at Hunt & Hunt Lawyers from 2003 to 2019, including six years as Chair of the Board.
Maureen holds a number of other committee memberships through the Law Council of Australia, is a former Board member of Robert Menzies College and attends St John’s, Beecroft.
Ian Pike
Now retired, Ian has 42 years experience in banking and finance covering credit and equity risk management, structured finance (in property, infrastructure, shipping, aircraft and fixed interest) and relationship management. He has held senior executive positions at CBA, Bankwest and Keybridge Capital.
Ian attends St Aidan’s Hurstville Grove.
Andrew Robson
Andrew is a Senior Consultant at Reach Australia. He has a Bachelor of Commerce from UNSW and a Bachelor of Divinity from Moore Theological College. Before entering full-time ministry, he worked for Ampol and BHP in management and strategy positions. He has been in full-time ministry since 2002, serving as Executive Pastor in three of the four positions.
Andrew has overseen several multi-million dollar church building projects and giving campaigns both at EV Church, Erina and St Paul’s Carlingford. Andrew is married to Anne and they have four children, Amy, Chloe, Sophie and Joshua. His passion is to see the ministry of the gospel of Jesus Christ flourishing now and into the future.
Rev Andrew Schmidt
Andrew has been the Rector of St Jude’s, Randwick since 2016, where he has hands on experience in childcare centre operation, heritage issues and cemetery operation. Before going into full-time ministry, Andrew worked as a solicitor at Clayton Utz specialising in construction contracts.
Andrew is a member of General Synod.
Margaret Stuart
Margaret has been the Director, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Nestle Oceania since 2012 and has over 30 years experience in corporate affairs. Her principal areas of expertise are in reputation management, government relations, media relations, crisis management, collective action and shared value.
Margaret is a current Director of the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation and member of the Commonwealth Government’s Modern Slavery Expert Advisory Group. She is a previous member of various Commonwealth Government expert advisory groups in Modern Slavery and Business and Human Rights, and a former member of the Council of Tara Anglican School for Girls and the Anglican Media Council.
Margaret attends St Paul’s, Carlingford.
Caleb Teh
Caleb is an experienced Project Director in the planning and delivery of major health infrastructure developments. He is currently engaged as Senior Project Director across a number of major health and research projects in the Westmead Health Precinct.
Caleb’s previous experience has included Project Director roles on major health developments across NSW, as well as being the Business Case Lead with NSW Health Infrastructure. His particular interest is in early stage planning and business case development for major projects.
Caleb attends Norwest Anglican Church.
Marianne Yacoel
Marianne is a Chartered Accountant with extensive senior management experience in both the corporate and the not-for-profit sectors. Marianne previously worked with Lendlease for over 20 years and brings significant, strategic, operational and financial experience in mixed-use property development.
In her last role at the Anglican General Synod Office, Marianne was responsible for the delivery of services in the areas of finance, operations, risk management and regulatory compliance.
Marianne attends Park Road Anglican Church, Carlton.
